Organizers

Who are they, those secret people that organize BarCamp Caucasus 2008? Are they agents of some blogging intelligence services? Are they real people or virtual objects? Who does what in organizing the BarCamp? How can one contact them?

Please, meet us!

Giga (also known as Dv0rsky) is a blogger from Tbilisi, boasts to be the oldest blogger in Georgia. Perhaps, that’s why he got this crazy idea to organize a BarCamp in Caucasus. In everyday life, Giga is a respected lawyer, working at a German consulting company. His main duty is to generate other crazy ideas and to give a form and substance to blogging every time we meet with sponsors. Giga is always busy, but you many try and find him here :)
Misho is the financial god of the BarCamp Caucasus. He has got a degree in International Tourism and Hospitality Management, which he honestly deserved at Tbilisi Technical University. Now Misho is responsible for work with sponsors, donors, finding location, arranging hotels, and MANY other things. He is really busy, so if you want to help him, or want to become a sponsor of the event, contact Misho.
Irene represents both – mainstream and new media. She came to Tbilisi from Kazakhstan in January. Originally Irene was to study journalism and media management at Georgian Institute of Public Affairs, but since March she spends more time dealing with BarCamp Caucasus than with her books. Irene’s main task is typically female: to look after men and to bring to order all their crazy ideas and thoughts. So if you have got a crazy but genial idea on the BarCamp, you are welcome to contact Irene, and she will know how to implement it.
Now Tiko does her Master Program in Psychology at Tbilisi State University. She also works as an intern at the British Council. If on June 7th or 8th you suddenly need professional help of a psychologist, go and find Tiko. Besides, she will know everything about the site content, as well as who comes, why comes, and many other secrets of the upcoming BarCamp.
Maka is an expert in Modern Greek, so if you need to translate from or into Greek (but modern, no Homer!), she will be around to help :). Originally, this is Maka’s profession according to her long educational past: Maka spent almost 10 of my 26 years studying Greek - Modern, Ancient or Byzantine :). Now she works for Deer Leap Foundation (Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia), that is responsible for ICT integration in Georgian schools. If the kids are still IT-illiterate, you can partly blame her. Before and during the BarCamp in Tbilisi Maka will be responsible for our Caucasian hospitality.

Atoms is an IT system administrator from Riga. As a normal IT-genius, Atoms is not very talkative. Instead of chatting, he has got his own hosting server. No surprise, he is IT guru of the BarCamp Caucasus, so if you have got any question or suggestions regarding the work of the site, you’d better ask Atoms, not the rest of the group :)
Igor is the only artist in the group. He is a designer from Karaganda, Kazakhstan. If you do not like how this site looks like, Igor is to blame. If you do like it, you may contact him to say your “Wow!”. The same applies to design of all offline stuff, like badges, banners, notepads, etc. Think your T-shirt would look much sexier if it were pink? You know whom you should tell this!
