The idea of the Innovation Incubator is to solicit short project proposals from BarCamp participants of both commercial and non-commercial nature, for financing either additions of new features and services to their existing web projects and platforms or for launching brand new projects.

Our experience with new media projects in the region reveals that a lot of truly innovative projects happen with only a minimum of funding. We want to test how well this would fit the BarCamp demographics, as most of the participants are active in launching or developing web projects. It would also be interesting to see them deliver projects by a certain deadline.
