Ambassadors

Ambassadors are needed!!!

Who they are?

Ambassador is our contact person for all relations with participants from his/her country (on issues like planning the trip, etc). To be politically correct, they are key volunteers in each country from which we will have BarCamp participants.

Why are they important?

Because Ambassadors help building allies, and this is a crucial objective of any BarCamp. It is not an east task to make sure that all parties involved learn all they need to know about a BarCamp. Especially if it talk about allies in places that may give an extra boost to the BarCamp movement soon (e.g. by organizing future BarCamps). Besides, ambassadors become those experts who can run the movement in a decentralized manner without any third-part involvement.

What do they do?

Ambassadors on the ground deal with logistics, mobilization, visas, etc. To cut a long story short, they are responsible for everything and everyone from their country. Another important issue is sponsorship – we appreciate any assistance. In Riga Ambassadors proved to be very useful in the end; these people are also among the most qualified ones to organize the next BarCamp, since they are more involved in what the organizers are doing also.

How to become an Ambassador?
