Just a reminder:
BarCamp Caucasus 2008 will be launched on June 7th at 9:30 with registration of participants.
Venue - Georgian national open air ethnographic museum, at the Turtle Lake Road 1.
At the very beginning of the Turtle Lake Road is a bus station for bringing lazy participants up to event place.

Dear friends,
please pay attention to the following things.
For all participants from other countries than Georgia:
- in order to be picked up at the airport / railway station, send to Misho the following information on your arrival: exact time and date of your arrival and the flight / train number. We need this info until Wednesday 6 PM;
- when arriving look for a person with a BarCamp sign in his / her hands. Remember you will be picked up if only you asked about this in advance;
- if something went wrong and you’re in trouble, call Giga + 995 99 58 60 20, or Irene + 995 97 20 90 08;
- if your mobile isn’t working within roaming, please go to Tourism Department tourist information desk and tell them you’re a participant of BarCamp and you need to find someone from the organizers team;
- if you still need accomodations, please, write to Misho ASAP!
- We still have got some funds left for the travel grants. Those who are on the waiting list, please, let us know if you still want to participate and would like to get a travel grant! Again: this suggestion is valid until Thursday, June 5, 6 PM.
Special note for those who received travel grants:
- DO NOT throw away the boarding card; otherwise we will not be able to reimburse the ticket;
- Register your presentations on our forum - http://barcamp-kavkaz.org/forum/ until Thursday. Remember, your presentation is a must.
Please, ask us any questions via the comments form.

Dear friends,
here is a short radio story about how everything has started :)
The story is done by Irene for her radio course at GIPA, but she could not resist the temptation to do a boring mandatory story about something interesting, like our BarCamp Caucasus, bloggers and us, organizers.
So enjoy!

So we finally saw THE guys. Zhenya Morozov, Max and Joha made
presentations about BarCamp philosophy and events. The meeting was organized by Irene, Misho and Giga.
Sitting here and there, everybody seemed interested in the BarCamp story. About 40 people gathered; bloggers, web-developers, IT-experts, journalists (Newspaper “Navigator” and TV station Rustavi2).
Conclusions from the presentation: it will be fun. A lot of fun. It will be about gaining contacts, experience, knowledge… So, again - all kinds of fun available in June :-)
Photo-story follows up…
