Barcamp Pictures and PresentationsHello all Participants, First of all, Thank you for participating. And thanks for all your help. Without all of you, there will be no BarCamp in Caucasus. So the first thing: there was small bug in organization, we forgoted to copy all your presentations, so please send them to my email atoms@tups.lv, and i will put them here on site. You can send uploaded in google docs, or some other service for presentations. And another thing, Pictures in all the media/sites like Flickr, Youtube etc… please youse tag “Barcampge“ BarCamp startJust a reminder: BarCamp Caucasus 2008 will be launched on June 7th at 9:30 with registration of participants. Venue - Georgian national open air ethnographic museum, at the Turtle Lake Road 1. At the very beginning of the Turtle Lake Road is a bus station for bringing lazy participants up to event place.

Invitation for the Training: New Media
Following the BarCamp Tbilisi 2008 on 7-8 June, Transitions Online (TOL) - international media organization will present in Tbilisi a two-day workshop (9-10 June) on new media for people from Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. Expert training from leading new media professionals will be provided on the latest trends in new media, including podcasting, video casting, RSS feeds, social networks, etc. We will also discuss the latest developments in blogging - blogs’ impact on the media industry, the social and political impact of blogging, and case studies of success stories from traditional media.
Scholarships are limited and will cover travel, meals, and accommodations are available for 6 people from Azerbaijan. Applicants from Armenia and Georgia, that will already be in Tbilisi for the BarCamp are also encouraged to stay for the training and some meals will be provided to those selected to attend. Most of the training will be conducted in English, so knowledge of English is required. Candidates should apply: http://forms.tol.cz/form/24/. Deadline: May, 28.

Please remember, that we can issue a travel grant for you only in case you will held a presentation. Deadline for applying is May 16th, and you will get the answers on 19th of May (maybe earlier). When applying for a travel grant, you have to follow these steps: 1. Register at barcamp-kavkaz.org 2. Write an email to Misho 3. Provide your full real name, your project or blog address, topic of your presntation and short description of the presentation 4. If you have the presentation file already at hand, please attach it also - we will not publish or otherwise use it. We also have an Innovation Incubator - where you can present your project, software, start-up, service or anything you have and think will be interesting for the public. The idea of the incubator is to help young people with new and fresh ideas bring it to the big scene. More about the incubator you can read here.
